Good weather is coming, and now that summer is around the corner many people have probably started planning their vacation. Why not a cruise in the Mediterranean? If you choose this option, think of us. In 2003, Resa Group was involved in the refurbishment of the Vision of the Seas ship, one of the most popular cruise ships. The Vision class of the Royal Caribbean cruise company is named after this ship. Built in 1998 and refurbished in 2013, it has a length of 279 m, a maximum width of 32 m and a gross tonnage of 78,340 tons. The Vision of the Seas can accommodate approximately 2,050 guests (at double occupancy) and 742 crew members. It has 12 total decks (11 guest decks) and 1024 staterooms. For this Navantia shipyard, in 2003 Resa Group installed the scaffolding for the renovation on the stern, placing blocks to increase the stability of the ship, using a total of 180 tons of scaffolding.
The Vision of the Seas is the sister ship of the Rhapsody of the Seas, both of which are the perfect size for comfortable and relaxing cruises. The latter entered into service in May 1997 and is a very comfortable vessel thanks to its spacious interior and perfectly distributed rooms, and also very bright due to its large glass windows. It stands out for its spacious glazed main hall, which amazed the company’s customers in the 90s.
